Be able to recognize those visible conditions which represent evidence of malfunction in heating and cooling systems.
Be aware of the obligations borne by inspectors regarding the reporting of improper installation and operation of residential heating and cooling systems.
Become familiar with the potential hazards posed by residential heating and cooling systems.
